Where Are You Headed?

This past weekend was all about fun for me.

My partner was out of town for the weekend, and I found myself at home with no work obligations and lots of time to focus on self-care, play, and friendships.

So on Sunday, I had a group over to the house to make vision boards (which, by the way, if you’ve never tried, you totally have to check out making a vision board).

It was such a fascinating experience because there I was, looking at dozens of magazines including the Washingtonian, Architectural Digest, searching for images of what I want my vision to be for the next year…and it struck me that I didn’t really know.

Here I am looking at these glossy images—a professional coach—knowing what my tangible goals are, and I realized that I didn’t really have a clear vision of what I wanted my life to look like in terms of how I wanted to feel, the colors that represent the next year of my life, the words that call me forth.

And it struck me that this is probably a common experience for many.

We have a sense of what we want, but we are not sure exactly what that looks and feels like.

We need visions.

If we don’t have a clear vision of where we’re headed, how are we going to get there?

So, during that time that I had friends over for three hours, I probably spent the first hour and a half just page flipping through magazines to really get connected with what I want.

And I decided to give myself permission to not know! Looking forward to part two this weekend, when I’m finally going to put those images and quotes to paper.

If this relates to you, I invite you to start getting clear on your vision for what you want your life to look like this year. Think about it as a full sensory experience:

What does it look like?

What does it feel like?

Why do you want it?

What are the smells?

What do you hear?

What is the texture and flavor?

Really try to get clear on what your vision is so that you know what you’re manifesting into your life.

Navigating Neurodivergence: Energy Hacks for Empaths with Regina Carey

Regina Carey joins me on The Prosperous Empath® this week for a truly heart-centered conversation about neurodivergence and how it is often interconnected with being an empath and/or HSP. Regina is a special ed teacher turned Executive Coach who has spent the last three decades educating, empowering, and advocating for those who feel stuck, yet long to take that next great leap. Recently, she returned from an adventurous trip to Machu Picchu and shares her experience of how saying yes to physical challenges has helped her balance intense emotions as an empath. But something I deeply appreciate about this conversation are Regina’s insights on neurodivergence, especially ADHD, and the importance of managing energy and advocating for oneself. Regina reflects on her upbringing and the influence of the women in her life, emphasizing the need to break patterns of burnout and dis-ease to live authentically. This episode is for anyone who is neurodivergent (or loves someone who is) and is seeking energetic balance in their life. Tune in for actionable steps on thriving more as an ambitious empath.
