I support professionals who are in transition – whether by choice or circumstance.
A major perk of working with me?
I support individuals (and corporations) in transition to clarify and achieve their definition of success. I also help professionals sharpen and refine their communication skills.
In summer 2022, I was 560 miles from the North Pole: kayaking around the ice and watching breathtaking wildlife in their natural habitat – reindeer, walruses, artic terns, kittiwakes, puffins and a polar bear!
On my bucket list:
Walk the Camino de Santiago
The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
It’s never too late – at any point, we get to decide who we want to be. Then build support for our new ways of being.

I started working with Gretchen 2 years ago as I was retiring from one career and exploring other opportunities. I had thought about getting a coach for a while, but was reluctant, due to my work schedule and true commitment to the process/concept. That being said, I knew myself well enough to know “retirement” was going to be a bit of a challenge for me, even though I knew it was the right decision. The confidence to invest into “coaching services” came with an honest acknowledgment of investing in myself. I was surprised by the topics we covered and the mixture of personal growth and achieving measurable goals. Gretchen was effective at incorporating coaching tools, and being a very good listener. Her coaching services have been extremely helpful, giving me a new approach and prospective to pursue new professional and personal opportunities in retirement. The benefits of coaching are demonstrated every day as I approach situations in a more open and flexible process. Gretchen is “real, direct, honest and fair” when you need that coach to help you move forward with the life you want! - Teresa Koster, Senior Executive: Healthcare, Insurance, Sales Development
I think anyone in an executive leadership role, especially as an owner, needs an outside perspective and grounding wire. My goal in working with Gretchen was to be mentally prepared to grow into the next stage both professionally and personally. Coaching has exceeded my expectations regarding learning perspective and communications skills useful in all areas of life. I am more grounded and focused on achieving my goals and the steps to get there. Gretchen has a way of getting to the story behind the story and helping you figure out the path forward. She creates a safe and judgment free zone where I am able to develop the business and life I want. - Kristen McAlister, President, Author, Speaker, Thought Leader
My goal in working with Gretchen was essentially to ‘right the ship’. I had just been laid off from a job I hated but needed during a global pandemic. I knew I needed to make some changes in my life, like find a new career, but I had no idea how to go about doing that seemingly herculean task. I liked Gretchen immediately and felt both comfortable with her and that she understood my plight. I appreciated her complimentary session so I could see how working with her would be and to see if we were a fit. She was open, honest and listened to my questions, then answered them thoughtfully and thoroughly. She was clear about the kind of coaching she did and the kind of career training (resume re-writing, etc.) she didn’t do. This had me trust her. I didn’t know what to expect but once we started working together, I was blown away. Gretchen helped me see who I am at my highest and best which has become a north star for me in all things. As I talk through problems, Gretchen unravels various components so I understand why I’m having them, what patterns they may be following and actions I can take to break self-defeating patterns. She has helped me get past and through a number of issues. Gretchen’s coaching made a world of difference in both my life and my outlook. The biggest difference has been in my confidence in my career and relationship. I see myself and the world more clearly now. I have become more focused, more sturdy and more confident. I feel I’m able to understand my partner and myself better and conduct myself with more alignment to who I really want to be rather than who I was or knee jerk reactions. Coaching is a game-changer and I am grateful to be living from a place of my true inner authority and power. I’ve come a long way in our 2+ years together and couldn’t have done it without Gretchen! - Kat Hanna, Creative Project Manager, Producer, Writer
