Online Authentic Relating: Skipping the Small Talk with Cat

Authentic Relating is like improv for the soul. Join Catherine Wood for an evening of soulful connection and take with you some exercises and connections games to use on your abundant social calendar of Zoom calls next week! We use tried-and-tested exercises, called Authentic Relating Games, to create an atmosphere of deep connection. Authentic Relating Games are a fun, safe and dynamic way to practice skills like compassion, empathy, and active listening. We will delve deeper into ourselves and our relationships with others in a joyful and loving way and form meaningful, lasting connections. It can be fun, silly, deep, powerful, moving, and anything in between as you practice your capacity to authentically share what it is like to be you in the present moment. WHEN: Saturday, May 9th from 7:00 - 9:00pm ET COST: Suggested contribution is $10-20. All are welcome regardless of your ability to pay. PayPal: catherine@catherineawood.com or Venmo: Catherine-Wood-9 WHERE: Join Zoom via Videoconference Call: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89356541609 What's an Authentic Relating Event? Do you crave a space where you can meet new people and talk about something OTHER than, "What do you do?" or "Where did you go to school?" The best way we know to answer this question is to use Chris Rock's joke about first dates. He points out that, when we go out on dates, "we don't actually go ourselves...we send out representatives." In other words, we PRETEND to be the person that we THINK our date wants us to be. And we don't just do this on first dates. WE DO IT ALL THE TIME. We are constantly, at some level or the other, hiding behind a mask, pretending to be the person that we think someone else wants or needs us to be. What would it be like to take off the mask? To practice authenticity in a supportive space where being REAL is the norm? Want more information: Email Cat at Catherine@catherineawood.com.
